ALDHA

The Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association

An off-trail family of hikers, dreamers and friends of the trail working

to preserve, protect and promote the long-distance hiking community.

 The Directory

The best listing of long-distance hikers

If you're a member of ALDHA, you will receive an annual Directory of all the members of our group complete with their trail name, hiking resume, mailing address, email and phone number. The booklet is like no other in the long-distance hiking community. It is cross referenced by both trail name and location, so if you know someone only by their trail name, you can still look them up. Or if you're passing through an area and need to contact someone from ALDHA, you can look them up by town and state.

You have the option of receiving this booklet in either print form or as a PDF. Store the PDF on your smartphone and carry around everybody's contact info wherever you go. But you won't receive it unless you're a member, so if you'd like to take advantage of this bonus to belonging to ALDHA, as well as other perks like a quarterly newsletter, visit the Membership page where you can join online. It costs only $10 a year to belong.

If you need to update your listing . . .

Please remember to send us updates on address changes, new email addresses, new phone numbers, new trails that you've completed and any other new info that affects your listing in the Directory. It's up to you to keep us informed, especially those who are paid life members and don't renew their membership every year. If you miss a Gathering one year, it's easy to overlook the need to update your info. You can do it via email at membership@aldha.org.

Or if you spotted a note on the address label of your newsletter or Directory that says your dues are past due, you can renew online, and update your Directory info, by visiting aldha.org/join.html and clicking on the online form.
